Commenting on the announcements today, Ryanair’s CEO, Michael O’Leary said:
“This year Ryanair will carry more than 27 million passengers who will save €2.7 billion over the high fares of other airlines.
With the addition of 8 new routes and three new great destinations we can bring even more choice to European consumers. It is notable that for the first time Ryanair’s low fares will now be available in northern Spain, and in Latvia.
Seats for these flights at prices from only €3.99 are available for sale right now at Europe’s biggest travel website – http://www.ryanair.com. – With lots of new exciting destinations there has never been a better or cheaper time to grab a bargain – so we would urge the passengers to book quickly as seats at these prices will be in huge demand.”

I don’t think so Peter. Ryanair calls it a hub when aircraft change destinations, and not fly back to the airport of origin. Look at Beauvais, they have a high number of destinations, but don’t have a hub there.
Also, maybe Dutch airport taxes, expecially at Eindhoven, are too high to attract high amounts of passengers.

I am surprised EIN gets one more flight, this will be their 3rd destination from EIN. Their other destinations are STN (obviously) and GRO/Girona. Could this be a sign that EIN might be the next eurohub for them?
Can’t say I mind this though. In 2 or 3 weeks I’ll be moving to a place 20 minutes away from EIN airport!

me thinks Bhoy was being sarcastic about Ryanair airport labels, Jeanske. 🙂 And perhaps I have misunderstood you, but Alghero is in Sardinia, not Corsica

Sardinia and Corsica are two different islands! Sardinia belongs to Italy, and Corsica to France! They already fly to Alghero, Corsica.
There is something wrong with Ryanair’s interactive route map!

perhaps they could fly to Sardinia (Corsica Airport)…

Although they started a couple of new routes from Dublin to Spain this summer Im surprised with Aer Lingus continued European expansion that ryanair havnt started more continental routes from Dublin.
I read in this mornings paper that Aer Lingus are looking closely at Athens,Seville,Malta,Cyprus as well as some new routes in France,Germany and Italy. My money would be on Hamburg,Stuttgart and Bordeaux. With Rome,Milan,Bologna and Venive already operating from Dublin where else in Italy could they go.
