Does SQ and EK do short haul services

Hello,

Looking through AFQR 2004 at SQ the fleet suggests (of A310,A340,B747,B777) they do not operate short haul services.

Now i was looking at Emirates (A330,A340,B777) they do not do short haul services.I know reading AW about 3 or 4 months ago it claimed EK had around 70 aircraft on order and still does not meet the needs of thier expansion.
