A SINGAPORE Airlines pilot was found dead in a hotel room in Switzerland on Wednesday night.
Colleagues of Captain Rollin Winston Beebee Navaratnarajah, 58, raised the alarm when they could not contact him, and hotel staff found him in his room.
An SIA spokesman said that there were no suspicious circumstances involving his death. The spokesman told The Sunday Times that its pilots retire at the age of 60, and have to undergo annual medical check-ups to be certified fit to fly.
The captain, who has about 30 years of flight experience, leaves behind his wife and three sons. She declined to be interviewed when The Sunday Times went to their home in Seletar Hills.
