Airbus A340-600 Test Aircraft at Filton Today

It was tipping it down when the A340-600 display for Airbus/Rolls-Royce Families day began, and it only got worse, this is what I got before I had to run for cover…..I did get some others but the rain was soo heavy that its just a grey shape!!

Its a great aircraft i think, what do the airlines think of them??

I found as it was soo light that it was rather agile for an aircraft of its size displaying within the confines normally associated with aircraft like the tornado….very impressive.

enjoy!!

it might possibly be as they go to the air data sensors, so maybe new wiring or additional wiring…i also notice that the starboard inboard cowl ring is different to the rest of the engines

Great photos. Looking forward to seeing it at Farnborough.

What are those silver lines under the cockpit? Some sort of test equipment?
