752s @EDI

There were probably a lot more during the day but here’s a selection during my morning visit.

Australia is up the spout, my dad was taken ill last night and it is serious. I was also due to go to NCL with Johnny today but sadly couldn’t due to what has happened, looks like I’ll be going in December.

Sorry to hear that Ben..may I on behalf of myself and the forum wish him a speedy recoverery.? Our thoughts are with you and your family.

what a treat.. I missed em all 🙁

anyone fancy meeting up at Edi tomorrow? 12noon at spooks

It’s the airshow at East Fortune tomorrow, so expect quite a few interesting movements if you do pop along.
I wouldn’t mind, but there is the small matter of transport, and dragging myself out of my pit! 😮

Air Transat?

Yes! 😀 Excellent, and I’m finally coming round to their new livery, even though that particular one is still in the old one.

It’s a shame to see that British Airways are pulling their 757s out of service or something along those lines.

Is this just a seasonal change or is it a sign to suggest that the 757s are on their way out?

BA’s shuttle flights into EDI are absolutely heaving at the
moment… The odd 767 is often employed.

I think BA must let the bookings run rather than curtail
them and they utilise aircraft accordingly.

7E7s next? 😀

The EEZ went tech I think. The 752 holds about 50 more pax in charter config?

I think a British Airways 752 holds about 180 passengers compared to 220 or so in a charter configuration.

It’s a shame to see that British Airways are pulling their 757s out of service or something along those lines.

When I flew BA 1465 back in December, we were flying on G-CPEO down to Heathrow from Edinburgh. I remember there was some speculation at the time of the flight though, with many forum members saying they would be surprised if it was actually a 757 flying the route. Whilst shopping for flights a couple of days ago, I came across this same flight with British Airways. The service is now operated with an A319.

Is this just a seasonal change or is it a sign to suggest that the 757s are on their way out?

They chop and change a lot I think, the 752s may well just have been put on other flights to EDI and beyond! 🙂

No 757s are due out until at least November, and none have left the fleet for about a year. There are still quite a few flying to EDI, just at different times of different days.
