I understand, but anyone not from Manchester listening to inbound and outbound traffic on their scanner wouldn’t hear “Runway 2” mentioned an awful lot, would they?

Well, I’m no expert so I just call in runway 2,….alot easier!

At the moment (18:15 local) , 24R is in use for landing and 24L for take-offs.

Due to busy times I guess?!

EDIT: Or it could be to do with noise restrictions over them houses at certain times :confused:
