Rumoured New Snowflake routes!

Just came across this, Snowflake new routes to:

Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam and Brussels from Stockholm.

Of course, SAS already operate to most if not all these places already from ARN. SO I presume it is replacing them, if it happens.
Is Pprune a reliable place? 😉

Considering 736s are used at EDI, there aren’t that many seats to allocate!

Correct… and with the reduction of flights overall the last years, the remaining flights are more often filled nowadays – which is good for the company but not for those wanting to fly cheaply. Nor is it good for any airline employees wanting to travel on ID, but that’s not important now… 😀

Well, RIPConcorde and Shamrock321, you are both right…

From today, 1 July, until 31 August, Snowflake “will co-operate with Scandinavian Airlines” (which sounds ridiculous, since Snowflake uses their aircraft and crews) and offer flights to these new destinations;

Edinburgh, Dublin, Milan LIN, Paris CDG, Amsterdam, Brussels

The “co-operation” means that Snowflake gets a number of allocated seats on certain SAS flights from Stockholm to the above destinations. The reason for this offer being time-limited is simply that the amount of business travellers is less during the summer and then, of course, it’s better to fill the empty seats with people paying a little rather than no people who pay nothing.

That was what I could find out now, being outside the company intranet which probably contains more detailed infos… and if you want to see a Snowflake aircraft but lives far from a Snowflake destination: don’t worry! Snowflake’s 737-800 and MD-80 fly all over SAS’ routenet, they are not earmarked in any way. But they were supposed to be from the beginning, though…

Nice to hear someone wants my explanation! However, I have no clue what this is about as I’ve just come home from a week’s holiday in Berlin. I’ll check the latest company news and come back asap, ok?

Look forward to it! 🙂

This is where we need Sonnenflieger to explain things!

Apparently all flight will be operated by SAS and what seats are left will be sold by Snowflake at the lower prices. As far as I know snowflakwe already fly into Dublin (sort of).YThe flight is operated by SAS but as the the new route will be Snowflake will get all the remainding seats.

Just came across this, Snowflake new routes to:

Checked their Webpage..looks like they are transferring the service from Inverness to EDI..most flights showing ‘full’ in July….which would be a miracle given the route was only announced yesterday. 😀

Snowflake has no slots allocated for the winter of 04/05 at Schiphol. Unless Snowflake gets some slots from SAS they are unlikely to go to AMS.

It could be that SAS are to allocate some seats on the flights they are already operating to Snowflake.

Looks like it’s been announced now. Looks like SAS could be leaving EDI after 5 months! although not entirely! 😉

Snowflake to add 6 destinations
30Jun SAS announced that its low-cost carrier snowflake would add another 6 European destinations this summer by the end of August. All would depart from Stockholm Arlanda’s Airport to Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh, Milan and Paris.
