BMIbaby delays..again

BMIbaby seem to be suffering alot of delays recently; I had a meeting scheduled at work today with a Dutch customer. They were due to land at EMA @1000 and landed at 1430. 4 1/2 hours late??..not bad for a flight that lasts barely 1 hr.

I am booked to fly with baby later in the month out of EMA to PRG – fingers crossed a B735 over 733 (first time!). Monday is Easy again to CDG – another -700 at a guess!

Because the 733s are bigger 😉

Ah. I take it their 735’s arent leased, is so, why are they loosing/getting rid of their 735’s for 733’s?

500s are not NGs, they are the same as 300s and 400s.

Forgive me, but I normally associated the 737 100/200’s as inferior to the 300/400, as did I associate the 300/400 to be inferior to the NG’s. Why would they change back to the 300’s? Is it more fuel efficient or something?

Probably the 737-500’s, however the -500’s aren’t very old.
In the meanwhile, 733’s can be quite cheap. Some are almost 20 years old

I understand that a lack of crews is an issue as well

Yeah more planes are required, they operate so many W patterns that if one goes tech the whole operation falls apart, not the best way to run an airline, but the most cost effective to the bean counters.

I think they need more aircraft as they’re constently adding more destinations, at MAN they are anyway, I think they should get some B737-800s for routes that are doing well.

They suffer more delays than most LCCs!! I was delayed by over an hour on the return trip when I flew with them!! They have old aircraft though!!

I noticed that every flight into EMA one day this week (Cant remember which?) Had a 3 hour delay at least, this was because an a/c had gone tech in AGP. They seem to be suffering at the moment, they need more planes!
