St-Petersburg’s enterprise Pulkovo intends to increase in
2005 its fleet of aircraft by adding to it some new air planes-
An-148-100B and Tu-204-300. According to the information
obtained by Regnum news agency from the enterprise’s press
service, this possibility was discussed on June 8-9, 2004 at
talks with Ilyushin Finance Co., Antonov Design Bureau and
Tupolev JSC representatives In all, starting from 2005, the
enterprise plans to acquire up to 10 An-148-100B and up to 5
Tu-204-300 planes.
It should be noted that the federal unitary state-owned
enterprise Pulkovo has now in service as many as 19 Tu-154M
planes, 10 Tu-154Bs. 10 Tu-134s and 7 Il-86 airbuses. The total
number of aircraft the enterprise operate now accounts for 46.
Over 2003 the enterprise transported 2 ,403,449 passengers which
exceeds the number of passengers transported in 2002 by 16,1%.
It is worth noting that in early 2004 there was announced a
planned merger of Rossiya state company and Pulkovo. According
to a decision taken on the matter a new united air company will
be formed with airport property complex and Pulkovo airport
being separated. The united air enterprise will be registered in
St.-Petersburg.

Sounds cool. Good to hear that the TU204 is finally getting the sales it deserves.
Right on, I was happy to see a western customer in the form on TNT use it for a while… The new gen. russian airliners would be great sellers if only the manufacturers could gurantee good maintanance support, which they can’t

Does anyone happen to know on what route(s) the new planes will be used? And when in 2005 will the planes be delivered?
