And one from Birmingham for a change!

Here is Fokker 70 OE-LFG of Tyrolean Airways.

If you look at the approaching weather, you’ll understand why this was the only photograph I took at Birmingham today! 😮

So it would seem, Duesseldwarf.

I was the fat grey-haired guy in the Scotland rugby shirt.

LOL!! 😀 I was the fat no-haired Scottish guy in the black Hard Rock cafe Madrid T-Shirt!! 😀 Boy did those heavens open! 😮

Yep bmi operate charters from there. Well they did when i was there, to Palma if i remeber correctly. The EK 777 dominates the pier! When i was there, the 742 which was there dominated it!

maybe one of the continental 757’s was late or delayed so they departed near each other?

One may well have been delayed, but they are scheduled to depart 2 hours apart. That’s still very close together for such a niche service.

Talking of delayed CO 757s, the EDI flight was delayed for 2 hrs yesterday (19th).

WOW! How did you do that!?? Good eyesight young man! You’re quite correct, a bmi A320 did make a guest appearance at BHX today, however, I have no idea why – as far as I know, they no longer operate from BHX.

We saw several flybe. Dash8 Q400’s today (I REALLY want to fly on one of those!) but the reg’s I couldn’t tell you, apart from the one on the photo.

I don’t know if it’s good eye sight or BMI’s distinctive colour scheme? 🙂

A few other highlights at BHX today were:
Emirates B777,
Emerald (flyjem.com) ATP,
PIA A310,
two Continental B757’s that left about 1 hour apart – both to EWR (still struggling to figure out the logistics of operating 2 aircraft to the same destination so close together!
various MYT’s in various liveries and hybrids – messy fleet – looks terrible
Air Slovakia B757 as we were heading back to the car park
and the usual saturation of Flybe.’s, BA ER4’s and ARJ’s!!

Is that a BMI A320 taxiing in the background of the first pic?

Excellent pics, a couple of questions:
Is that a BMI A320 taxiing in the background of the first pic? Do they even operate to BHX?
Did either of you see G-JEDK?

Also, G-OZBG has been based at EDI for the past few weeks, it seems to have now been swapped and is now G-OZBH at EDI, and there’s OZBG appearring at BHX! 🙂

Bejeezus! Grey Area – I must have been standing right next to you. The Tyrolean F70 was the first aircraft I saw depart at BHX today. Wingflaps2 and myself made a spur of the moment trip to BHX this morning and stayed for about 6 hours!! I wanted to try the new camera again, but it seems I am still struggling to keep the qulaity when resizing the files. Anyways, if you don’t mind me jumping in on your thread Grey Area, here’s some more photies from BHX today. 🙂

Fingers crossed on the quality!

You should have been there when they unloaded!!!!!

As soon as I took the picture I made a bee-line for the terminal and literally made it to T2 just as the heavens opened. 😎

Did you hang around to see if anything slid off the runway, infamous when wet it would seem. 😉

Great photo, shame that’s the only one you got with the weather.

Everytime i’ve gone out today the heavens have opened, and of soon as I have come, the rain has stopped.

So damn frustrating!
