BHX Pics

Went up to BHX today it was a good day of spotting despite the dull weather and the fact that i had to use my old Finepix 2800Zoom while my Finepix S5000 is out for repair, it made me realise how good that camera is looking at these.
Anyway here they are enjoy!!!! 🙂 😀 🙂

1. Aer Lingus B735 with the blue ‘.com’ titles.
2. Air Tansat A310 landing on RWY 33.
3. BY B762 (G-BRIF) taxying to T1.
4. CO Flight 27 to Newark/Liberty.
5. Tail of the same aircraft.

I think the Islandflug will be actually operating for Islandflug, they have an extensive charter programme this year all over Europe.

I also think Islandsflug are operating their own programme from BHX this summer. There was an article in AW a while ago saying they intended to.

Good shots, who is the Islandsflug 737 operating for just now ? It’s the same one T5 and A330 Crazy attended the February DUB meet in.

I think I’ll book a wee day out to BHX soon, anyone fancy coming along ?

As far as I know, no XLA or HH jets operate for FR anymore?

When you’ve been to the Aviation Experiance enough times RIP Concorde you know all the answers, i eventually got top and am good enough to be a Concorde Pilot but with them sitting in museams all over the world i have to got to the next one down which is the B747 😀 🙂 😀 . I think your right about the construction work.
Cheers bmi-star 😀 , Pablo all the shots on this thread were taken from the the Spectator Viewing Area which is inside the airport boundry near the long-stay carpark, the Air Transat A310 was taken from the viwieng area and so was the the Emirates B772 landing, there used to be an area under the flight path for RWY 33 on the A45 but that is now blocked off, next tim your visiting BHX just PM me and i’ll give you some directions if u need them.
Thanks for the comments Pablo 😀 😀 🙂 🙂

Thnaks for all the replies!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Well there is more than one viewing area at BHX, there is the one inside Terminal 1 the ‘Aviation Experiance’ which i’m sure RIP Concorde will give you the thumbs up to but there is also the outside one which gives u the shot’s like the one’s i got today, personally i like it better.

Yes, big thumbs up from me! An excellent place, the weather wasn’t too great at the time anyway for venturing outside. I did the quiz thing(anybody know what I talking about?), apparently-going by the amount of answers I got correct- I am good enough to be a 757 pilot. YES!! 😀 Shame it didn’t teach you how to fly. 😉
I remember that construction work, I got a good view of it. It looked like they were either resurfacing or extending the apron there for remote parking.

Great pictures – the Air Transit 310 and Iberworld 320 look really good. Are these shots from near the A45 road? Where is the best place for spotting? My girlfriend lives in Birmingham and I keep meaning to call in for a bit of spotting.

A final two….

1. First Choice B752 taxying to T1, so is the Air Transat A310 in the background. I’m not sure what the construction work is bottom-left, a new taxyway? 🙂 😀 🙂
2. First Choice B752 lands on RWY 33 while a Flybe Dash-8 holds short. As seen from the outdoor viewing area.

I can’t believe it was so cloudy in BHX; here in sunny Devon it’s been… well, sunny!
