I can’t believe the way it was done! In the middle of the night stranding all those GA planes! 😡

Well thank God for the new park. I’m sure it’ll be a bigger asset to the city than the airport was. :rolleyes:

He shut Meigs down after 9/11 citing terrorism and the proximity of Meigs to downtown Chicago as a severe risk to national security.

Not a bad point, except he did it overnight, sending bulldozers in to gouge large X shaped scars into the runway, rendering most of the parked general aviation planes unmoveable.
