Both airports can be reached by car within a 3 hours drive from my hometown. As I want to spice up my civil collection with some heavy metal another visit to DUS won´t do.
So which airport is the better solution for a spotter.
FRA seems more concentrated when it comes to spotting spots. In AMS you seem to miss a big part of the action because of the layout of the runways.
What is your suggestion ??

If your onoly 3 hours from both why not go to both ?

I will be at both locations at various points this summer. I’m down for either location, and both are good. I’m not quite familiar with the spots on the perimeter of FRA, however.
