Manchester AVP today

I went to the AVP today but took no photos as i dont have a digital camera yet but i will hopefully get one in florida. Me my Mum and Dad paid 10.00 each to have a look at Concorde and i would absolutely suggest it to anyone.
1st of all you get a tour of the underneath of the Aircraft where the Tour guide explains as much as he can in 15 minutes it was great then, you go up the stairs and they then tell you sit down in the cabin when they explain some more facts about the supersonic aircraft. You then can either go to the flight deck and you have a chance to sit in the captain seats and have a look at the instrements and have a general chat with the tour guide you then get taken through the cabin right to the back to the galley where you look at the cooking equipment and stuff. I was supprise by the smallness of the rear cabin doors!, you then get to have a look at the toilet wich is really really small. you then have 5 mins to jsut have a brief look and any questions you may have

My most favourite thing about the cabin was the way in wich the chairs rock backwards and forwards at the touch of a button. I totally suggest it to anyone and everyone.

I wont be on here no for a couple of weeks to everyones relief as i am flying upto sanford, florida on Tuesday.
Hope you enjoyed my little suggestion

p.s you also get a information pack wich is really interesting 😮 😀

G-BOAF.
On the Concorde SST website there are details of how they have fitted out some of the systems (lighting, signs etc) to run off ground power and the exhibition that visitors will see before entry. It does not give an opening date yet but says watch this space! See:- http://www.concordesst.com/latestnews.html and scroll down to the news item dated in April.

Sounds better than expected to me the concorde tour at MAN. Have to get up there at some point this year.

Any idea when the one at Filton is to be opened to the public? Whn i was down there the other day i was chatting to some of the locals, and they said could be at least two years! 😮 Shes sitting outside at Filton at present, with no protection at all. 🙁

The post was doing really well until this comment. Besides, if you behave yourself, like you have lately, we don’t care either way.
