Report warns of the dangers of crowded skies
A shocking new report is warning it may only be a matter of time before there’s a serious and fatal aircrash in the region’s skies. The Air Accident Investigation Branch says there have been a string of near misses involving military and civilian planes in the North East over the past few years. It warns that unless something is done to regulate the airspace there could be an incident involving ‘large-scale loss of life’. Senior officials from the Civil Aviation Authority and MoD are due to meet to discuss the report.

Oddly enough the BBC television series “Crowded Skies” tackled this very subject in the first episode broadcast around a year ago.
Many pilots were concerned about operating in unregulated airspace, shared with fast moving military traffic.
I was just going to say the same thing! It was a very interesting insight.

Surely, anyone could have predicted this ages ago?
If our air traffic services are up to scratch, nothing should go wrong.
