According to various sources, MYT303 LBA-IBZ operated by a SSV A320, diverted to Paris CDG with engine failure this morning. The inbound flight is indefinitely delayed, but another a/c from Manchester is postioning in to operate MYT305 to Mahon this evening, which was due out at 13:40 but is now due out after 16:00. I dont know what will happen with MYT307 which is due to Palma at 20:55.
I thought the problems had gone when the 757 went! MYT and LBA don’t seem to go well together…. Remember the 30+hour delay at Mahon last year?

No.It went down to CDG and took the passengers on to IBZ.

Sorry for the delay guys just got up after a 18 hour ****.Here we go in my good ladys words.” We were stood in the back galley when all of a sudden there was a very loud strange noise and the aircraft jolted.Not the jolt from turbulence that you normally get.I looked at another crew member who was in the rear galley and said what the F… was that ? The other girl was just as concerned.Then we rang the flight deck to inform then of what we had heard and felt.They were already dealing with the problem and told us to stand by.After that is was almost like going over speed bumps in a car only ten times worse.This all lasted for about 1 min until the engine had been shut down by the flight deck.Apparently it stalled twice and they tried to restart it.The Captain then told the cabin supervisor that he had declared an emergency and would be diverting to CDG.It was tense in the cabin for the next 20 during the decent.We landed without incident and were followed to stand by 3 fire engines”
I will try get a more technical account of things when i speak to the flight deck who were operating.
LBARULES to answer your questions:
1.All SSV a/c in the u/k are operated with MYT cabin crew and SSV flight deck.
2.The i/b IBZ was probably taken off the screen as it was going to be empty i/b anyway.
3.The CDG to IBZ think was operated by that Tristar we talked about on that other topic but thats not 100%.

Titan B757-200 G-ZAPU Is operating the MYT flights to Alicante MYT387/388 & Palma MYT386/386
My Travel B757-200 G-WJAN Will be postitioning in to operate the MYT363 flight to LPA this evening
Sky service A320C-GTDK is tec in paris CDG is not due to return Before sometime on Sunday

I was going to ask you actually about the crew issues on these SSVs, I thought you might be working out of MAN as I thought they might have had their own Cabin Crew. Good to hear you and your other half are still working from LBA. I have sympathies with her, I bet it was a very scary experience.

Another point- The inbound IBZ had delayed next to it on the arrivals board, but was then completely taken off the board? Whats happened there? And how are the PAX getting from CDG to IBZ? Sorry to bother you with all my questions, I ask to many at times!

I can confirm all that you posted above.The 307 PMI is now operating out of MAN on a MyTravel A320.All the passengers will be sent by road.My better half was on the IBZ this morning and said it was a pretty scary experience.Will post more about when she gets home,god knows when that will be ?
