Airline revival

The last Sandy’s Sabena c/s makes me wonder: We all know the PanAm’s brand has been acquired after they went under.
It’s so nice to see this mystic c/s airborn gain.

Do you know if some other airline in history has been brought back to life?

They offered first class seats at much reduced fares compared to their competitors, didn’t they?

I believe so, or you could upgrade for really cheap. They also had the “free Vegas stopover” gimmick. Being that their hub was in LAS, if you flew between any 2 cities (that wasn’t originating or terminating in LAS) you were entitled to a free stopover in Vegas at no extra cost. Pretty good deal, if you ask me. One of my cousins flew them between LAX and JFK and took advantage of this.

From what I read about the last National Airlines before they went under, I too thought that it sounded like they had a good airline there. They offered first class seats at much reduced fares compared to their competitors, didn’t they?

I also liked their livery – that ‘N’ on the tail was nice.

National was brought back, but they didn’t use the same sun logo as the previous National. Apparantly Pan Am owned the rights to it as they had acquired the original National. The 2nd National, which based in Vegas, also went under. They had a pretty good idea, and good fares being based in LAS, not to mention they were backed by the Harrah’s Casino chain. It’s mind-boggling to me that they didn’t do well.
