Radical Improvements by Thai Airways!

Hi,

When I returned from Thailand the other week, I was meant to tell you about the confirmed improvements being made to Thai Airways International. Due to my not-so-good memory, I forgot, but here we go anyway:

* Thai will replace aircraft seats at a cost of 7.2 million baht

* In-flight entertainment will be improved on all 81 aircraft in the fleet (more information below)

The above changes are to be made before the new Bangkok Airport opens at the end of September 2005.

* New logo and new colour scheme planned. Changes will be implemented on-board all aircraft and at Bangkok airport check-in desks and worldwide lounges

* Greater recline on First Class seats on the 777-200s and the 747-400s. Seats will be able to go fully flat

* Menus on board will consist of dishes which are popular at the destination to which the aircraft is travelling as well as traditional Thai cuisine

* New uniforms for the Cabin Crew (July 2004)

That’s pretty much it. The airline’s nine 747-400s are priority for the changes, followed by the 777s. I also believe from the magazine that the airline is going to consider PTVs. How else can they improve the in-flight entertainment?
