And a very good camera with good shooting capability in low light levels. Not to forget a good lens 😉
Exactly 😀

Great effects in that picture, I’d die to get as good as that, I guess you just have to be at the right place at the right time?!

Agreed.

That is a fantastic photo. Of course you can’t get a bad shot of a 757 but some are better than others.

The approach to runway 10 always seems steep due to the buildings. However, runway 28 is almost always used in the mornings for landings.
By: Jeanske_SN - 23rd June 2004 at 18:47
That’s one of the reasons why the aircraft approach so steep, to approach above the buildings. Even then, the buildings are far away.
That is spelled wind shear.
By: concordesst - 23rd June 2004 at 17:45
Do you think theres a lot of unexpected wind shere there because of the buildings?, looks good mind.

I have flown into London City, too bad I was too young to understand. It was in a VLM F50 in the old Flemish colors.

Believe its 5.5 degrees actualy…
By: thesaint - 23rd June 2004 at 14:30
The normal rate of decent on a standard ILS is 3 degree’s, at LCY it is 7 degree’s to allow for the runway obstruction’s(mainly the building’s).
Crew normally train for this approach at CVT as they have PAPI’s set up there to simulate LCY.

Even at normal airports the Fokker 50 often descends nose down and touches down with nearly all wheels together, the main wheels are just a bit earlier. Saw it many times in Antwerp.
