Any news on the Heathrow Trident 3B?

A few months ago there was some talking about the old Trident 3B which has been at Heathrow since retiring in 1985. It had to be moved and money had to be raised.

What’s the latest news on this? Has BA offered to help?

Kind regards

Hans

Also the Certificate of Airworthiness was probably revoked sometime in the late 80s after the last Tridents had flown their final legs in Zaire… thanks for the info, will go to Manchester to see it once it’s there!

no, it has clipped wings for starters and their last thorough check has been ages ago. It could be all checked up obviously, but that would be too expensive for the organization owning the trident. They can barely afford the move as it is!

how will it get there? Lorry or barge? Will it also get its wings extended to their original length as it now has clipped wings.
