I just heard on the radio that the Icelandic airline Islandsflug is going to take over up to four ex Sobelair 737’s. TUI Airlines Belgium was not using the complete fleet. The rest was for sale, and Islandsflug decided to buy them.
Islandsflug is already employing belgian pilots and flight attendants, and is now also thinking about taking over some of the employees.

We currently have an islandsflug A310 doing the mail runs from Exeter. This appears to have replaced the Atlantic Air Electra that has been used for the past 3 months or so.

Another positive tale from Iceland and it’s intruiging aviation success in recent years.
All the best to Islandsflug !:D

We are going to be BIG:D 😀
Three 737-400 and one -300. Now all we need is someone to fly the aircraft. Last week we were short of 14 F/O’s on the 73!
Anyone got a 73 rating and experience on type? Islandsflug wants to hear from you!;)
