Not normally on this forum but I do have a question having seen those brilliant photos of Manchester.
Now we’ve seen the retirement of the great lady have any of the specialist ground equipment vehicles been saved?
An overlooked area perhaps?

Thanks for that.
I thought I was going a bit mad and imagined it all.
Shame in a way about the early equipment. An area that gets forgotten in preservation circles?
Thanks again

As far as I know the only thing that was marked up on the ramp for “Concorde use only” were a few belt loaders, these were slightly different to normal ones but could be used on any other BA aircraft but the normal one couldn’t be used on Concordes, so these has probably been utilised on the ramp for conventional aircraft. Hope that makes sense. Of course in the early operation of Concorde with the hydrolics on vehicle not being as up to date as now there could possibly have been some specialist vehicles but they are probably long gone now

Hi. I seem to recall she needed speiclist trucks and other associated things during turn around. Think they are visible in some of the early pictures of her in service. I might be totally wrong but you know how it is.

Hi,
What specialist equipment are you refering to?
