Took a ride upto STN this afternoon/evening while the weather help up. Quite busy (over 50 movements in an hour and a half). Not many different aircraft, but plenty of Ryanair and Easyjet. Saw some of the following:

D-ABAM Air Berlin 737
F-GNLG Blueline F100
N620FE FedEx MD-11
N311UP UPS 767
G-MAJC Eastern Airways J41
SE-LPR West Air Sweden ATP
TC-OAE Onur Air A321
OK-WGF CSA 737
G-GSSA GSS 747F
VP-BBT FordAir 737

Here’s the Blueline F100

I was there from 17:00-19:00. I did see EZJY at some point, around 17:30 I think. But this was Wednseday, you came yesterday didn’t you?

PS. Thanks for the comments!

Thanks a lot Matt, don’t think they are anywhere near that good though! But then I am trying my very hardest with this cheap crappy £200 camera I have, if only I could get my hands on a DSLR I might be able to take some real quality pics! *sigh* I’ve tried uploading some to jp, if any of them do get accepted you should be able to see the full-size version on there soon. 🙂

ISO is the film speed, or in digital cameras the gain level.

In basic terms the lower the ISO number the less grainy your pics will be, the higher the number the grainer.

Higher for low light levels and lower for nice bright light levels. A higer ISO rating can also help you capture fast moving subjects when you have no control over shutter speed. A faster shutter speed and lower ISO is preferable for fast moving subjects to be honest.

I saw the Iceland Express flight departing mid-afternoon earlier in the month. Do they have different times at the weekend as that was a Saturday.

What the hell is ISO? I always let it automatically on my camera, and don’t see a difference in shutter time or something when taking a picture.
Did you try the above mentioned trick to compress pictures?
For example, this picture is just 50 kb big! The quality is low because of my lousy low-shutterspeed camera.

Yes we do. I was waiting for it to turn up last night, but it never did. I was also waiting for the Iceland Express flight, but that was running late and would have been too dark to get a photo of.

Thanks for the comments people! Yep I was very pleased to see the old Go cs, makes a nice change from the bright orange. The worst part about the weather yesterday was the broken clouds. I’d just be about to take a pic, then I’d have to quickly change the ISO as the sun came in and out. Thought the lighting on this pic was quite nice…..

Wannabe pilot, talking about compression stuff… Try loading the picture in jpg in Paintbrush, and then immediately save it. The quality remains, but the file is only 1/3th big of what it used to be! Very strange!

Sorry about the low quality, the compression I needed to get them on here has made them look even worse than they already are! Ah well, you may (hopefully) be able to see a few of the full size version on jp soon if any get accepted 🙂

And finally, one of the only (2) planes left in Go colours. I really miss this colour scheme, another nice surprise!

Easyjet 737-300 G-EZYS. Anyone know why this has a hybrid scheme?
