About 450 or so DC-10’s were built. Only about 250 or so Tristars. The DC-10’s will last a lot longer than the Tristars with all these freighter conversions flying about.

My first Tristar flight was a Caledonian/Air OPS Tristar in 1994. That was bad but the next year, the Air OPS one was horrible.

I’d guess at the DC-10 but would be interested to find out ?

They look great in the new Air Transat livery dont they. They seem to have survived better than the DC10 haven’t they. Mind you i still see the old Biman DC10 operating out of LHR, the last Tristar in there must have been BWIA??? Cant think…

Mine was on Air OPS on a 4 and a half hour flight to Paphos from Manchester via Luton for refuelling. It was awful.

I flew on one when I was five and it was appalling. I remember clearly, I was very ill on that flight.
