At Air UK we had our first ALL female crewed flight in the summer of 1986. A Shorts 360 operating STN-BRU. We had many female flight deck crew at that time. I seem to remember that staff from one of the national papers did travel on that 360.

The standards are the same no matter your sex. If you can meet those standards than you are qualified to be a pilot. This isn’t golf where women hit from different tees.

Absolutely, as much as being cabin crew is a good job for men! I have flown on a flight with a female captain and it was a superb flight. There is absolutely no reason at all why women shouldn’t fly planes, except in the bigoted rantings of half witted ignorant idiots.

End of the day a CPL with Multi IR MCC JOT and jet TR etc is the same qualification for a man as well as a woman, to obtain this is the same training for a man as well as a woman, it wouldn’t bother me one dot if whenever I fly the pilots were women, and as already has been stated EZY have a vast number of women pilots, when I fly out of Bristol Intl in my Warrior you hear the EZY 737 women pilots on frequency all the time, best of luck to them 🙂

I’m always listening to my Scanner for all the flights coming into STN, I’ve noticed there’s been an increasing number of female pilots on both Ryanair and Easyjet, particularly Easyjet. Maybe as many as 1 in 5.

I think you will find BA have a lot more than a couple.

Cathay Pacific has over 30.

Skyliner, you obviously missed the point of him leaving. I have a great idea, unless you want to post some pics (which you did a fantastic job of by the way), let’s put a moratorium on you starting threads for a while. Just reply to them, ok? And if you can’t carry on in the debate, don’t participate, just watch.

I really can’t be bothered with your attitude skylinerworld. Is it that difficult to answer my question on your point of view on this topic ? You say you are trying to get along with other members too ? Not trying very hard are you.
