United Airlines is switching regional carriers for its United Express flights out of Washington’s Dulles International Airport, announcing Monday it has settled a dispute with longtime partner Atlantic Coast Airlines and is replacing it with three other small airlines.
The agreement clears the way for a summer launch of the nation’s newest low-fare carrier. Atlantic Coast plans to operate out of Dulles as a low-fare carrier named Independence Air, flying to still-unidentified destinations in Florida, the Midwest and West Coast.

The biggest tragedy has to be being associated with Mesa Airlines run by that loser Ornstein. Best of luck to ACA/Independance air! We should be seeing them in action in only a few months now.

I just read this yesterday. UA will use existing partners Air Wisconsin, Mesa, and Trans States, in addition to their 3 new USAirways Express partners. You lose one regional partner, you gain 3 plus mobilize a few existing ones. There are definitely bigger tragedies in the aviation industry.
