What Ostend has to offer! 5.4

Hi, I went to Ostend today. Unfortunately I didn’t see any moving aircraft because my dad wanted to go to the sea:(. Anyway, there was a Volga Dnepr An124, a dc8 and white 707 of an unknown airline, i believe something african, and a 757-200 freigher of Ethiopian cargo. Inbound from Cairo was an EgyptAir A300 freighter. No passenger flights today. I also took pictures of some stored aircraft.
Please post reactions.

1. DHL 727-200 freighter, stored, I believe it’s offered for sale. It recently retired. Sorry for the low quality, but I don’t have a good resizing program.

That’s good quality, Jeanske, regardless of your resizing program. I like how the cows have close proximity to the airfield. You were pretty close to that 727, did they let you onto the ramp for those shots? 😉

The 727 is stored near a fence, the aircraft is about 7 meters away from the fence. I could pop my lense trough. The aircraft is stored quite far from the terminal, near a flying club building.

PS sorry for pulling the old thread back up:)

I can as I live in Belgium :). But why do you ask, I don’t think the activity at Koksijde (Coxyde) is much more than the Seaking. Coxyde is 30 km or so away from Ostend.

Looks like some real rarities there and not a million miles from Koksijde – can anyone confirm this for me?

9. Last one, then the Ethiopian Cargo arrived from Cairo. It returns to Rome later on the day. The Egytptair AB6 is standing behind, not visible.

8. Took this from quite far, it was very windy and was unable to keep the camera still.

2. This is more about the aircraft behind. Note the AN 124 with the nose open and a DC 8.
