Not as dramatic as the title sounds and no this isnt an aprils foul joke.While waiting to depart from LHR on tuesday an Aer Lingus plane carrying 183 people from LHR-ORK was struck by the wing of a British Airways 747-400 that was being towed causing substantial damage to the rudder of the A321.
Nobody was hurt in the incident but the flight was cancelled and the passengers rebooked on to other flights.

This type of incident seems to be very common around major airports these days
