Didn’t know the USN DC-8 was off duty. Is it destined for scrap or just for indefinite storage, anybody know?

As there is no alternative anymore, the bustour is the only way to get in. You are not allowed out of the bus, and you have to shoot through very dark tinted glass. My advise, go sit in the back of the bus, as here it is possible (most of the time) to hop from the left to the right and backwards or, just buy a ticket for 2 tours. Next time I go for 3 tours. Overexpose by 1 or 2 stops and things are fine. BW Roger

Very cool. How good is the tour? I think it was in an article that I read that you’re limited to staying on a bus during the tour and not permitted to get out at all. Is that the case?

I just shot it from the street with a 500 mm. The enclosed ex UNITED DC8-54 , later used by the USN was taken during a tour. BW Roger

Was this taken on a tour of the graveyards? or do you have other access?
