So who are still remaining in the UEFA cup now
By: greekdude1 - 26th March 2004 at 23:21
I’m not typically a Newcastle supporter (although I am a fan of a few of their players). However I would prefer them, from all the remaining teams, to win the Cup. I was rooting for Barca, but they were taken out by Bhoy’s boys. 😡

Yes i know but i am just saying i prefer Liverpool to Newcastle United (no offense to Newcastle supporters)

If it’s gone back to being all white, it’s possibly because of a temporary repaint to reflect the livery of one of the many tour operators Atlanta are representing this summer. The fact they’ve designed such as simple house livery for their fleet would tend to suggest this as well.

I have just seen TF-ATC come in to NCL, very slow:) 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Wellwell, is the 742 certified flying into Newcastle… I assume not at MTOW, because then it needs more than 3000 meters!
It’s not a case of certification but whether the aircraft can meet criteria such as performance, available fire category, surface load bearing, etc.
As Preston says, there’s no reason why a 747 couldn’t operate with a heavy payload out of there as long as the fuel load was light.

hmmm well spotted – we wont question the many other regional airports it has/does fly into!
What do you mean is it certified to fly into NCL? I am sure that nobody will have thought of that in the planning of this flight!!!
For your info off the top of my head i think LBA has a Rwy length of 2250m – not all is usable for a departure, but i have seen B747SP, B741, B742, B743 of operators such as Wardair, Air Atlanta Icelandic, British Airways, Corsair and a couple of others operate out of there – including a couple of occasions where 2 were on the ground at once. Does this mean they are breaking the rules?
Nope! In fact most of these flights are within Europe such as the Leeds United Airlift to the UEFA cup semi-finals in Valencia, or Wardair charters to Canada – none of these will be at MTOW – don’t worry yourself Jens!!!
For your info this one was off to Palma carrying Newcastle United fans as mentioned above – thats Palma in Majorca 😉

No it isn’t certified NCL just thought they’d do it on the sligh, I told them someone would catch them out. You don’t miss a thing do you!!!
