Ba

Could someone settle a bet with a friend of mine…..

Could someone specify the number of aircraft which BA owns?

5 hours on train from MAN-CWL!!!! Would a direct air link work with a small aircraft Dash 8, Fokker 100 or 737?

I believe only routes to the large hubs in the USA that are not already served by the US carriers would work (LAX, SFO). But BA will not ever think about that, they tried LAX years ago, and gave it up. Any LONG-HAUL expansion from a British Airline will probably come from Virgin, and less-so, BD. But thats not very likely. Although VS are launching St Lucia (I think) this winter from MAN.

If British Airways are crap, then I’m sure that every other airline in the world must also be crap. For the numpty that made the remark, click the link below..

How about MAN-CWL the long way around? What type do you think?

I’d fly that route 😀 Should be faster than the direct train from Llandudno Junction, which takes near to 5 hours!

It’s got to be a DC10 for fleet commanality, though I hear the IL96 is also been considered.

MAN-Warton, MAN-Hawarden, or even MAN-Barton or MAN-Woodford! Real money makers there, A380’s would not be sufficent enough!

And since when is this a rumor type forum?

I think the likes of Kabul, Baghdad and some of the major countries of Africa (Uganda, Angola and Botswana) are crying out to be served with 4 times daily 777’s to suit the obvious tourist demand that would be there from MAN.

BA is crap

Because they won’t start longhaul from MAN? In that case, nearly every airline in the world is crap, gosh, what a crap world.

For me the biggest part of good service if a direct flight from my local airport. The on-board service I have received from BA has never been anything great, no better than Easyjet or FlyGlobespan and even Ryanair.

I have only used BA on domestic flights though.

Im going to LGW and back and am really looking forward to flying with them I paid €40 extar to avoid Ryanair. On a side note do BA sell aircraft models on board?

I have to defend BA here, they are not crap at all. Even tho they are not my 1st choice by far, the service I was given to HKG last month was superb, food, IFE, even the comfortness of the seat. I would think of using them again, if the price is right, just like a found the amazing price i got from them.

The only letdown about BA, was to go thru LHR, as it is a complete dump, and feel’s like a jail, well T1 does anyway, but BA are not crap.
