When an airline puts a aircraft into storage with their logo visable people may think that the airliner is loosing money, which is a bad image for the airline

As you can see in the photo most of the aircraft have no logos,
Note all the engines covered up to stop that dust.

The pint is, the general public will onyl know the airline by name, not by colour-scheme like us sad spotters.

Good pint (I always like pints though) but in this case it does not count. They did not cover up the tail, and at that airport there are AF planes everywhere. You do not need to be a genius to figure out that the plane with edited titles belongs to the same airline as most other planes at the airport.

People that are not busy with aviation allt he time don’t really recognise the paint scheme. But the Air france plane was very clear, everyone that flew should have recognised that one.
I think they do that to avoid damage to their image.

I know that when aircraft are in storage (Mojave, for example), the titles are not covered up to conceal the airline. When in storage, the movement of aircraft is not controlled by the airline, so if there should be an accident, it’s obvious that the mystery airline is not responsible.

There’s also a couple of other reasons, neither of which spring to mind right now.
