United New colours on 737

That’s what I’m saying also, but some people just insist on it looking good on some types but not on others.

Maybe it was only 20 777s then.

Believe it or not they are actually saving money. They’re only re-painting the planes after they’ve been in for things such as maintenance checks, and rather than spending money on all those dark colours they are replacing it with a mainly ‘euro-white’ scheme instead.

The reason they changed the livery was because the old one was too expensive to paint. This new one is much much cheaper. They are only due to repaint about 20 planes this year and that is when they go into maintenance and need repainting anyway.

I actually liked the 737s in old colors but the new clors look quite refreshing.

It looks a lot nicer in the flesh. The 777 at LHR really stood out yesterday, seems a lot more noticeable then the previous one.

I think it looks much better on the b777
