Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to Toulouse I go…

Goodbye TCX at the beginning of June…hello VS A340 the next day!

Anyone know the French for ‘What’s it doing now?’!!! (rhetorical)

At least this way I havn’t had to make the tough decision. I do believe that in the long term the A340 will give the better lifestyle but I would be a liar if I didn’t admit that the prospect of the course scares the pants off me. I feel very comfortable with Boeing because at the end of the day their aircraft are very basic and easy to live with. The big reddeming feature with the Airbus is that if I ever decide to leave Virgin the world will be my oyster as I can easily hop into any other modern Airbus with minimum conversion. Also there is a very strong likelihood that I could end up on the A380 within a very short period. Now that will be interesting…

Again congratulations Ian. Much deserved.
We expects photos aplenty 😀

Great Ian . I’m happy for you. But……. you’re gonna fly this “ugly-underpowered-non-Boeing-thing” ??? 😀
-Was the A340 your only option at VS?
-Wil VS acquire new A340’s?

Congrats mate! A well deserved move, and what a great aircraft as well! Look out for captain Phil Weignwright (I think that’s how you spell it) he’s a mate who flies the A340s at VS, nice chap!

If Thomas Cook ask for anyone you can think of to fill in your seat at TCX you know who to call 🙂
