Met Office said rain and cloud – none of the rain – not at least until I got home to Swindon, and only a little cloud in the Afternoon but got lots of treats including the first BMI A319 – the highlight for me.

I can’t share all my secrets – but okay – The ground shots were taken next to the aircraft level crossing where the fence is quite low, I am six foot tall and I can reach between the fence and barbed wire, plus I have 100-400 IS lense which turns into 150-640mm focal length so I am not within the airfield perimeter.
And if you did cut holes in the fence BAA would not be too happy, you’d probably be on a terrorist charge or something…
