Yet another low cost airline in Europe – W!zz Air

I was just browsing airliners.net and found a picture and internet site for a new low cost airline in Europe – Wizz Air

Wizz Air will be a new low cost airline based in Central Europe with its first bases of Budapest, Hungary and Katowice, Poland. Wizz Air will start operations from Budapest and Katowice to more than 10 destinations in Europe.

The launch of the 10 new services will coincide with the accession of ten CEE countries with a combined population of 70 million into the European Union.

W!zz Air’s maiden flight should be in May from Katowice and flights able to book from March / April.

The Wizz Air fleet will initially comprise of 180-seat A320 aircraft. Wizz Air has plans to have nine A320s operational by the end of the year, and to become the largest operator in the region in 2005 with 20 planes.

A confirmed destination to be served so far is Brussels Charleroi.
