I’ve had a shirt for years that says “Bomb Squad” on it along side a graphic of what you might describe as an “acme bomb”. Now, in my mind it’s just a novelty logo on a cheap shirt that I happen to like wearing. In airport security at GLA and elsewhere, it’s surprising how many people actually ask me for real if I work for the bomb squad!

You might find this a little trivial, but I think part of the problem with these so called “I have a bomb” announcements at airports is a failure to interpret indirect humour against genuine malice.

Needless to say, post 9/11 airport security has made me think twice about wearing my favourite shirt.

Is that that shirt with at the back “IF YOU SEE ME RUNNING, TRY TO KEEP UP WITH ME”? I have one of those too!

Those responsible should be locked up for life.
