Paris weekend and photos

Hi there folks, Just come back from an interesting weekend in Paris. Unfortunately as this was a “with the wife” weekend, the aviation hobby had to be somewhat “suspended”.

Anyway , Flew from Manchester on Air France AF1669 aboard Airbus A320-214 F-GKXH. Excitement of journey ended about two mins in to take off as we penetrated the gloomy cloud and more or less fly the whole way through it !! Inflight meal was croissant filled with chocolate (pardon!!! – bread and chocolate !!!). When we finally returned under the clouds we were at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. As we taxied to terminal 2 we must have passed about 10 aircraft (from Easyjet 737’s to AF 777’s etc) queing to take off. That airport is one heck of a size and I was suprised on the sheer volume of traffic there!. Anyway had to dash off then so not much seen.

We returned on AF2568 aboard Airbus A319-111 F-GRXA. For some reason we were bussed from the terminal to a remote location to board this plane…. (Frozen to death !!). Quite upset because for some reason My wife and I were sat apart (infact about 10 rows apart). Some people may think this is a good idea !!! but it doesnt help she is petrified of flying !!!. Anyway landed back in Manchester safe and sound.

Anyway, managed to get a couple of photo’s to share with you. Pardon the quality but two factors contributed to their downfall. 1. Didnt have time to really go anywhere better to find pictures, so they have had to be taken through filthy glass terminal buildings.
2. The misses was desparate to “polish off” the euro’s in the cosmetic shops, hence I was to “encouraged” to hurry up….
