Hi folks, just thought I’d drop you a line from sunny Tenerife, now that I’ve settled in its time to come home just about.
What a change from the winter weather it’s been I can tell you! This keyboard is a bit dodgy so exuse my typos. Flew out last Tuesday from GLA on a Fly.Globespan flight, operated by Islandsflug 737-300, TF-ELQ, nice flight, on time and a pleasant trip with pleasant Scottish cabin crew and Icelandic flight crew.
Slight mix up with the accomodation booking but they put me into a hotel eventually after some traipsing around Playa Las Americas. Not been taking plane pics so far, left my battery charger for the 10d behind and saving the one good battery for the day of departure this coming Tuesday. Full report and hopefully some pics when I get back. Must get back into this heat by the swimming pool now.:D

Excellent report and great snaps allen.
TF-ELQ, could be what michael and myself are flying to DUB on next week, since Islandsflug have been doing the LGW-DUB-LGW runs. ELQ has been in a few times at LGW recently.

Nice pictures and report Ren, sounds like you had a great time! I got a picture of your plane whilst I was in Glasgow in December, you may remember it….here…

Not much cop for shooting planes from within. I should have had enough time to venture out of the building for some exterior possibilities. Unfortunately my connecting bus to the airport took forever as did the check in procedure, so all of the slack time was mopped up. Plenty of aviation goodies to be seen however and of course the weather was excellent. I leave you with this final shot to banish your winter blues and appease the palm tree lovers…adios:D

Ren, assuming that BY 767 was on stand when you took the photo I was about 100 yards to the left and on the next row back.
It was on stand Wys, right at the end of the terminal more or less, I must have driven right past your 757 on the bus across to our plane. Taking a picture from the bus would have been impossible as I had a small pensioners head in my armpit at the time, not to mention the two children headbutting my kneecaps.:D

The north of the Island is by far the most picturesque and least spoiled in my opinion, so maybe the next time I will take a flight to Los Rodeos.
I totally agree. The south of the island is some kind is tourist resort which loss most of the charm of the place. The north part is much more authentic.

The perils of shooting through two windows are there for all to see…

I wanted a decent shot of the Air Berlin 737 behind this My Travel A320, but it was too far away and the glass was too dirty.

Back at TFS, a Palmair 732 arrives, framed within the boomerang wing of a Hapag Lloyd, Tui 738.

Ah sweet! I luv that 767 shot!
