Three sought over Heathrow raid

Glen Cameron and John Twomey are two of those police are seeking
Police investigating an armed robbery at Heathrow airport on Friday have named three men they want to question.
Around £1.75m in cash was stolen from the Menzie’s World warehouse by six men with handguns, who tied up the 16 members of staff.

Five men arrested on Saturday are being questioned at a west London police station.

Scotland Yard say they are looking for Lloyd Govus, 36, Glen Cameron, 44, and 55-year-old John Twomey.

Two employees were hit with a pistol during the robbery and one was kicked, causing a fractured rib.

Police say while the staff members were being tied up with plastic handcuffs, one tried to run from the building and was fired at.

We would ask the public not to approach them. These men may be armed and dangerous

Detective Superintendent Mick Allen, Flying Squad
The man was not injured and as one of the robbers chased and overpowered him the gun was fired again in the struggle.

The man again escaped injury and was brought back to join his colleagues.

The robbers are alleged to have left the warehouse with the bags of cash and hijacked a van at gunpoint, as well as stealing a parked car.

Scotland Yard said the warehouse was in the cargo area of the airport and not the restricted area.

Detective Superintendent Mick Allen of the Flying Squad said access was gained to the controlled area by the use of a genuine security pass.

“We are keen to speak to three men in connection with the investigation”, he said.

“We would ask the public not to approach them but to contact police. These men may be armed and dangerous.”

Anyone with information should call 999, Scotland Yard said.
