Flying from Bangkok to Phuket, you have so much choice as to what you fly on.

Thai Airways and their A300s, 773s and 734s and of course, Bangkok Airways and their 717s. Wouldn’t have a clue as to whether or not Orient Thai fly the route though.

Not bad for a 10 hour flight, eh? Prior to mid-June, it’s really cheap to fly to LHR from LAX, and vice versa apparantly.

It is indeed cheap. And I’ll probably go for the LAX option. BA all the way naturally.

As for the Phuket flight, a mix of BA and Thai. Not Direct at all, but one stop. So not too bad.

I’m hoping that if I book either of them, BA will include a free shuttleflight from Edinburgh to LHR and back again upon my return

Though I might just go to LAX instead, can do that for under £300 return, then a hop to SFO to see a friend.

That’s really cheap, I’d be all over that.

Nope, Bangkok as per usual.

Was looking into the cost of flights from Bangkok to Phuket for a day trip perhaps. Might be worth it seeing as we’re there for a month! Not badly priced for Thai Airways – £55 return with flights operated by a Boeing 777-300 (apparently?) and a Boeing 737-400.

43 days now.. 😀

There’s no barrier at SXM either. That’s the beauty of it.

Yes I’ve seen pictuees from Phuket before, looks very nice! There doesn’t appear to be a barrier or anything in the way, maybe people just don’t like the idea of jet-blast!

I’ve seen other a.net photos from phuket. all of them seem to be from the same angle as this.

I wonder if there is a barrier preventing you from going directly under the aircraft as I’ve not seen one photo from that spot with such an angle.
