Irish Affairs!

Good stuff for Bristol… Aer Lingus (EI/Dublin) is resuming twice daily service between Dublin and Bristol using B737-500s on March 28.

Jetmagic reveiwing routes… Jetmagic (GX/Cork) will give up its Cork-Milan Malpensa and Cork-Rome Ciampino routes from February.

And Irish registered (about as Irish as they get!) Ryanair’s next rumoured base (which has being doing the rumour circuit for months)… Ryanair (FR/Dublin) has ordered two more B737-800s. It is reportedly planning to add East Midlands to its network launching routes to Dublin, Frankfurt Hahn, Milan Orio al Sero and Rome Ciampino. Ryanair confirmed it was considering adding a first Italian domestic route from Milan Orio al Serio to Rome Ciampino. In other news, it is likely to move its Berlin operations from Berlin Schoenefeld to Neubrandenburg, more than 100 kilometres north of the city. (EZY competition?)

p.s. Shouldn’t that be Nottingham East Midlands?

Yeah I heard Ryanair’s next base was to be EMA. Wouldnt surprise me seeing as EMA is one of the bigger U.K airports which it doesnt serve. Seems a good idea as WW doesnt serve Germany and has few services to Italy.

Cant believe they might move from Schoenefeld to Neubrandenburg!!! SXF is probably one of the best airport locations they have in their European network – maybe its becoming too expensive or slot congested for Ryanair?
