A french newpaper reported today that an other Egyptian jet has been grounded at CDG since last thursday.
The jet (reported as an Airbus) has been grounded when an T3 officer noticed a suspicious smoke at the APU.
After inspection tye authorities discovered a 40cm hole in the hull and some parts of the plane were retrieved on the taxiway.
However the Captain refused to report any incident and was about to head back to Cairo.
The Voice recorder and the FDR has been seized for investigation.
The airline is reported to be LOTUS airlines.

MMM Very strange. If the pilot wants to keep flying then something isnt right.
Maybe the JAA should call a inspection of Egypt’s airlines and authorities before letting them back into European Airspace (which seems to be their main if not only market for flights)
