Up and coming airshows…

Does anybody have plans for either Farnborough 2004 or Paris 2005? We all know that the 380 will debut at the Paris airshow next year but any news on aircraft for Farnborough this year or Paris other than the 380.

On a related note, what is the maximum size aircraft Farnborough can take, 346?

Thanks-

Would anyone be interested in hiring a small coach to take us into Farnborough on the Saturday as aparently coaches can get cheaper tickets for entery i read somewhere. Say pickup at a local hotel maybe? Only need 16 to make it viable and i have 2 (myself and my dad) already! What you think means we could all meet up and have some fun!

Just to let you know Boeing is this years principal sponsor of Farnborough 2004 so looks like the triple 7 will be there!

Airline Owner,

It would be amazing to see an A380 at Farnborough this since considering test flights start in 2005! I think someone is lying….

Airbus already spoke to Farnborough about the 2006 event and the A380 is confirmed to be there! I found this out as my charity event will be there during the two public days and we will be receiving access all areas passes for the week as well as already invited (in 2004 and 2006) to the Bombarider Aerospace hospitality tent cos i know Management at their Belfast Base!

As usualy whole Bombardier array will be there and apartently Boeing are doing to be demonstrating “Connexions” more than 2002 when they just had a 737 parked up and if u have YOUR laptop handy they showed you it working!

I think the major let down in last years FAB airshow was the fact some of the aircraft disappeared before the public days:

Emb 170 scarpered off to Austria, and also the Qatar 330 and VIR 340 left too!

Rob… will the TAG aviation bit be open on public days do you know?

I do think I’ll go to the Paris Air Show next year. I won’t go to the Farnborough airshow. I was very disappointed last year by the turnout and organization.

As far as I have heard its just a 777-300, plus the normal Airbus stable A318,A319CJ,A340-600 plus maybe a A330. I would imagine the aircraft list wont be finialized to around easter. I just hope its better than the last abismal show.
This years show is also likely to be very bizjet orientated with a special bizjet sales park on the old TAG ramp Mon-Wed. Which suits me because I love bizjets:D , got to really living here.

what a low pass

I saw the AN 225 at Farnborough a few years ago. I don’t know if anyone on the forum saw the display it did but before it took off, a microlight taxied out in front of it and did a short display in front of the AN 225 waiting on the runway. It looked like a bee buzzing an elephant. Quite well done

I have heard rumours from a friend that the 777-300/ER will be at FAB as well as the A318 again and a Lufthansa A340-600!

The Americans boycotted last years show at Paris due to the tensions with France over Iraq.

Hopefully an F-22 will come to the show this year, and a Typhoon! 😀

I did email Farnborough quite some months ago to ask what the lineup would be. They asked for my address so they could send me the catalogue.

A few days later, I received a four page leaflet which explained nothing. If the 777-300ER is there, I’ll be there, too! 🙂

Farnboroguh tend not to release any details until the Spring, so we are all waiting with baited breath. Farnborough can take anything, and indeed probably has taken everything! The AN225 came in one year, so that just about says it all!
I would assume though that Boeings 777-300ER would be a likely candidate, although they didn’t display much of interest last year, more from Airbus than anything else!
