Flight report DL112 & DL12

Me again, just a quick flight report. Departed MCO from gate 71 right on time, 2pm, took off heading south making a right bank right the way around to head north. Cruised at 22,000 for about 30 minutes, had the Deltafastbreak service (which is a bag of pretzels, and a choice of cranapple, lemonade and water), after that quick refreshment we descended slowly making our approach into ATL from the east, on another note Delta Horizons entertainment system has a very good skymap, includes loads of information actually about where you are flying to and over. We made a smooth touchdown and taxied our way into gate E18, which we had to wait 15 minutes to get into because some bright spark had left his very large work truck in the way and there was’nt enough wing clearance. Luckily for us gate E18 was the same gate and the same plane for which we were to travel on to LGW. We had 2 hours to spare so a quick starbucks and bid to get some free upgrades passed the time. Just across the way from our flight was DL22 (122?) to CDG, there was alot of TSA officers there to search passengers, although they spent most of the time watching a “football” game. We took off on time seat 31 C&D, the movie choices were Big(yes, the very old one) The Medallion, Out of time, Pirates of the Carribean and Finding Nemo.
I had the beef for dinner as the chicken definatly looked genetically modified. Anyhoo we landed at 7am, a very nice site to look at (bloody rain, cold, grey and miserable) when youve been in high 70’s for 3 three weeks. Waited ages for our bags, which came out on 2 carousels.

The End

Are they PTVs on Delta aircraft or the overhead ones? Was it 767s or 777s too?

We had the same 777 on both legs of my return journey with have PTV’s, my brother and my cousin also flew Delta via CVG aboard 767-200 & a 300, neither of these had PTV’s. Even though the screens are quite requested by todays traveller, Delta did not have a brilliant line up of films in either direction of my journey. But skymap provided by Delta’s Horizon service is great, all of the information is live, you get the same moving map but you also get lots of info about where you are flying to and over, it also provides current gates and status of other flights when you land. Although this is probably not new it was first time i had seen a system like this.
