I think we knew it was going to happen but it looks like British Airways has bagged itself a nice new Terminal 5 at Heathrow. According to ATWonline:
British Airways will move into London Heathrow’s new Terminal 5 in a single transfer in spring 2008 rather than phasing the transition over four years.
The acceleration means that BA will vacate the central terminal area serving Terminals 1-3 and also T-4 completely in 2008. BAA said the revisions to the Heathrow development plan will require an additional £100 million ($166.6 million) investment in Terminal 5, but this will be offset fully by adjustments within the wider Heathrow capital plan.
BA CEO Rod Eddington said, “For the first time at Heathrow, BA will be able to have all its operations in one terminal, making our customers’ journeys simpler, quicker and more efficient. We will be able to offer connecting flights both domestically and internationally on our global network within one state-of-the-art building.”
BAA said construction of Terminal 5, which is slightly ahead of schedule and on budget, is 28% finished with five out of nine tunnels bored and the first pieces of the main building superstructure in place

It’s going to be one beautiful new terminal.
