A United 777 has landed safely at Glasgow after a fire broke out in the cockpit whilst over Tiree in the Hebrides. The plane was flying from Frankfurt to Washington and declared the emergency last night (Sunday). No injuries were reported and the plane landed safely. Emergency rescue services in Stornoway and Strathclyde were alerted and put on standby.
In other news, Eastern Airways has announced further expansion of it’s routes with an INV-GLA service which gives the airline it’s first presence at Glasgow.
