Today at Heathrow + Concorde

Today, as you all know, was the last day of Concorde, and so I thought it was necessary to take the day off school:D I left home at around 9:30, arriving at Hatton Cross at 11:30. The planes were on 27R, so I made my way up past all the hangars and the point at which the planes ‘cross the road’ to get there. Already there were hundreds of police and people, but there wasn’t any trouble and the police didn’t seem to mind me sitting on a traffic island all day, right under the approach. I saw quite a few other aircraft, but obviously we were all waiting for Concorde. Unfortunately, I don’t have any phoots of concorde landing as I took my video camera instead, but I did manage to get some photos after when they all taxied round to the back of the hangars.

Below are all the photos I took, starting with the Concorde ones, but first, the funniset radio exchange:

BA XXXX: Tower, is that concorde on final?

Tower: Yes it is

Unknown Pilot: Plane spotter!

First, here we see G-BOAF getting ready to depart for her ‘VIP flight’, and all the crowds that flocked to the roundabout to catch a glimpse.
