Today, just like on many weekends I headed off to STN again, in search of some nice photos:D However, some nice photos weren’t to be today, for two reasons. Firstly, as I arrived at my usual spot near the approach, within 2 minutes, just as I was trying to take a picture of an MK Airlines DC-8, the police turned up. They said that it was BAA property and I wasnt allowed to be here, eventhough the perimeter fence was atleast 50 ft from where I was standing.
So, instead I decided to move along to another one of my favourite spots, along side the runway. I have been going to this spot since I very first started going up there, 7 years ago as there is a nice grass hill, perfect for getting shots of the private aircraft and also the other landing/departing traffic. When I arrived I was in for a big shock however, they had begun to fence the whole area off 😡 I dont understand what makes them want to do this, its just pathetic. This meant that I had to go to another spot, a lot further from the runway meaning that all my shots are really poor, but I will still post them anyway.
