Redhill airfield’s plans to turn it into a 2000′ runway equiped airport have been raised for a 4th time. See:-

Its all about money from what I know. Somebody brought the site and wants to make a fortune. Its a terrible place for an airport. The topography is dangerous and is very prone to fog. LGW outbounds go over the top at 2000.
Why not utilise those places allready with hard runways Farnborough,Biggin, North Weals, Stansted and Dunsfold.
Only one good thing is we might get a viewing area as its nothing to do with the BAA!!!!
